Think there’s a way to work together?

Sometimes organisations, communities, or collaborators invite me to bring Ways to Walk into their work through facilitated walks, sensory artefact design, workshops, or place-based engagements. Here’s what I can contribute.

When we work together, it’s usually in one of three ways:

Designing and leading walks and walkshops

Place-based walking experiences shaped around your community, context, or question. I design and facilitate the walk, and can share methods or materials so the work can continue beyond the event.

Creating sensory artefacts and installations

Multi-sensory objects or installations that make possible futures tangible, as part of a walk, an exhibition, or a public space.

Sharing methods and practice

Talks, workshops and learning for practitioners interested in participatory walking, embodied futures work, and facilitation through place.

Sometimes organisations are looking for a facilitator or moderator to support a walking-based event, workshop, or conversation, and I’m happy to help in that way too.

If any of these strands resonate, the best next step is simply to get in touch. We can explore what you’re working on and whether Ways to Walk is a good fit.

I’m always interested in hearing from practitioners and potential collaborators, as well as people working with festivals, museums, cultural institutions, artists, universities, public sector organisations, and community-led projects.

Beyond the walks:
facilitation, moderation and talks

Facilitation is at the heart of everything I do at Ways to Walk, whether it’s holding space for dialogue, moderating an event, or sharing ideas about creative climate engagement, futures, and systems change.

If you are searching for a professional facilitator, lively moderator, or interactive talk grounded in the idea that systems change is possible, and that builds on ideas of participation, sensory storytelling, possible futures, and the creative potential of walking-based engagement, I'd love to help.

Curious? Let's talk

The pillars of the Ways to Walk practice

Start with the body. (Walking)

A walk is never just a walk. Movement grounds attention, and attention changes everything. All my practices include walking at some point, and in cases where walking on two legs is impossible, I invite people to walk using aids, or with their imagination.

Be where you are. (Presence)

I work with the textures of real places: their histories, their futures, their hidden stories. All my work is site-specific, sensory, and responsive to the landscapes we move through together.

Create conditions for change.

I don’t promise transformation, but the walks I create invite imagination, agency, and gentle disruption. Through stories, creative prompts, and shared reflection, I encourage shifts, small and large, in thought, feeling, or future direction.

You’re thinking: “I’d love to know more…”

Let’s start a conversation. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas, and together, explore what’s possible.
